Awareness seminars on building national character and strengthening belonging and intellectual identity will be held as part of the Cultural Week activities in cooperation with Al-Azhar Global Center

 The General Administration for Student Welfare, through its Social Activities Department, organized a Cultural Week featuring a series of awareness seminars for university students. These seminars addressed topics such as building national character, strengthening national identity and belonging, the virtues of defending the homeland, the value of time, and the proper use of social media. The events were held in cooperation with Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwas during the holy month of Ramadan, as part of the university's educational and awareness-raising role in developing its students' consciousness. The event was held under the patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Yahya Eid, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Rushdi Shawqi Al-Adawi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and General Coordinator of Student Activities.

 
Dr. Yahya Eid emphasized the university's commitment to organizing such awareness seminars, which contribute to building students' awareness, intellectually and culturally fortifying them, and strengthening their sense of belonging and national responsibility. He also highlighted the importance of collaborating with specialized religious and academic institutions to disseminate enlightened thought and counter extremist ideologies.
 
The university president added that these events are part of the student activities plan implemented by the General Administration for Student Welfare, which aims to develop the university student's personality in various religious, cultural, social, and national aspects. He emphasized the university's commitment to continuing to organize more seminars and awareness-raising meetings in cooperation with various relevant bodies and institutions, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation capable of serving their country and contributing to achieving sustainable development.
 
The seminars witnessed broad participation from students across the university's various faculties. They were held in several colleges, including Agriculture, Languages, Pharmacy, Education, Commerce, Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Medicine, Specific Education, Physical Therapy, Law, Sports Science, Fisheries Science, and Science. In addition, awareness-raising meetings were organized within the university's student dormitories for both male and female students, contributing to reaching the largest possible number of students and enhancing their awareness of societal and intellectual issues.
 
The seminars addressed a number of important topics, most notably strengthening the values ??of belonging to the homeland and consolidating national identity, explaining the virtue of defending the homeland and its status, the importance of investing time positively, in addition to raising awareness of the rules for the rational use of social media, and the danger of rumors and misleading information, within the framework of spreading moderate
thought and promoting correct religious and cultural awareness among young people.
