 Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of the University, announced that the university appeared in position 1000-800 in the British Times The World University Rankings 2024, which is issued annually. Thus, Kafrelsheikh University maintained the second level among the 29 Egyptian universities listed in this classification, which is an achievement for the administration. Dr. Abdel-Razzaq Desouki pointed out that the university ranked 410 in the field of scientific research worldwide (Ranked 410 (Research Quality). This progress achieved by the university is due to the university administration taking many corrective measures in this regard, such as scientific research policies, increasing its funding, and increasing cooperation. Scientific cooperation with industry to provide innovative solutions, in addition to cooperation with researchers from different countries of the world and the quality of joint research, gave the opportunity to publish in high-impact journals, which led to an increase in the rate of research productivity and the recording of a large number of citations.
 
The university president explained that this classification is one of the best international classifications and is based in evaluating the best international universities on 5 main areas: teaching “learning environment” 30%, and scientific research “volume or rate of research productivity, research income, reputation” 30%, Reference citations include “research impact” 30%, international “reputation” status “international students, international professors, international cooperation” 7.5%, and application in industry “income from industry” and “knowledge transfer” 2.5%, through 13 related performance indicators. Teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer and international questionnaires.
 
For his part, Dr. Ismail Al-Qan, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, said that the University is keen to encourage and support faculty members and the supporting staff to publish their productions in major international journals classified in global databases.
