Under the patronage of the President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki, the university participates in the competitions of the Second Universities Youth Week for “Disability Challenger” organized by Monofia University entitled “ we complete each other” on 1-6 September under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof Dr Khalid Abed el Ghaffar.
During the week, the university students compete in team sports and individual sports as well as in social activities competitions such as the chess competition; cultural activities such as information league, Quran memorization, poetry; artistic activities competitions such as religious chanting, playing and singing, in addition to the participation in the scientific activity competitions under the supervision of Dr Rushdi el Adawy, the coordinator of student activities at the university. The university has won four silver and bronze medals for male and female students.
As well, the President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki mentions that the participation of students with disabilities at the university in sports and social activities competitions comes from the role of the university in the service of society and to achieve the goals of its social responsibilities and provide them with the required capabilities, as well as the university aims to provide a modern and qualitative education in line with the university standards for this category.
He also stresses that the university is continuing its journey to provide all services for the service of the community and community participation and in implementation of its national and community role and its role is not limited to the preparation of human cadres, as the goal is to prepare students of these categories for life in general by teaching them the necessary capabilities that enable them to maximize their talents and multiple possibilities to build their personality to meet the challenges of which the labor market is a part.
