The President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki stresses the university contribution to the development of environment and community, benefiting from scientific experiences provided by the university for the service of community to fulfill its developmental and service mission and achieve the benefit from specialized scientific competencies at the university.

As well, the President says that the university with all its sectors and facilities contributes to the implementation of the initiative of the President Abed el Fatah el Sisi for supporting and developing villages, hamlets and slums in the province under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, requesting the dean to start immediately in conducting researches and studies as well as plans of environment service and community development in coordination with Prof Dr Reda Salih, the vice president of community service and environment development affairs.

Dr Dousouki point out that the university coordinates with the governor and selects Sakha village to implement the presidential initiative during the summer. A committee of specialists and experts are formed to do a field visit to the village to determine its needs and the most important problems facing the people according to their opinions. He also stresses that the university with all its capabilities, experiences, scientists and researchers will contribute to the service of the local community and the people of the governorate and the state.
