Under the authority of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and the dean of the faculty of Arts, the faculty invites you to attend the seminar of Refaat Fayyad, the editor of Akhbar el Yom journal and the supervisor over the page (university is here), to discourse a seminar entitled “the Egyptian press and the expectant reality after 25 January Revolution” in the presence of the deans, agents, the staff, students and Prof Dr Salah Hathoot, the vice president of Winnipeg University in Canada.
In the beginning, Prof Dr Saied Abu Hatb assured that the faculty of Arts is keen to invite a group of scientists who care for the Egyptians universities problems and one of them is Mr Refaat Fayyad who is fluent in writing and speaking together. Moreover, Prof Dr Maged el Kemary welcomed the guests and added that Mr Refaat Fayyad is known as a courage man in defensing the issues of education and universities.

In the other wise, Mr Refaat Fayyad spoke about his childhood, his love for press, his obsession for events and news and the role of press in the community especial in this period and assured that he is happy of 25 January revolution, but worried of the clash among political movements. Moreover, he assured that he would not speak about whom he will candidate in the president elections until it does not affect the personal orientation as every person prefers to choose him with conviction not by effect form others. About his assessment for debates among candidates, he said that these debates are good in media as it is the first time these debates happen publicly.
Prof Dr Salah Hathoot submitted many problems of the university, assured that the basic problem is the dictatorial management, besides he spoke about the standard of living, and candidates promises about the rise of living standard and that the media has the responsibility to spread knowledge, correct ideas and the erroneous beliefs.
During the visit, Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and Mr Refaat Fayyad checked the university constructions, the development that the university reached and its efforts to open an account number for the university hospital in Alexandria Bank No 800800 and No 01000810002 in the United Bank for the faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Fisheries and Pharmacy.
