Introduction:

 

The department presents programs of philosophy which aim at graduating students who are capable of:

1-Recognizing the main concept of philosophy and its branches 

2-Applying scientific approaches in philosophy

3-Intoducing the most famous philosophers and their vital roles in the field

4-Recognizing the importance of philosophy to each individual and to the whole society

  

The academic standards we follow are to graduate students who are capable of:

·         Recognizing the development of philosophy as well as the opinions of some philosophers around the various ages.

·         Identifying the relationship between philosophy and religion

·         Recognizing the establishment of Christian philosophy and the opinions of Christian philosophers

·         Mentioning the topics of etymology with its various fields

Mental abilities:

The graduate becomes capable of

·         Perceiving the difference between various philosophers' points of view.

·         Perceiving the main intellectual and doctrinaire Islamic currents.

·         Perceiving the difference between ethics and manners and other sciences.

·         Perceiving the relationship between continence and mystics

 

Professional and practical skills:

The graduate becomes capable of:

·         Participating in discussions and forming opinions about various modern issues

·         Using philosophical approaches in developing their fields of work.

·         Contributing in solving the problem of intellectual solidness

General skills

The graduate becomes capable of

·         Using computer, internet and emails

·         Using statistical problems in processing research data

·         Working within a team work.

·         Thinking in critical way.

·         Running dialogues in democratic way
