The mission of the Department of Food Science and Technology as part of the mission of the College and the University provides a high quality of education and training to prepare graduates and researchers qualified scientifically with the latest information and practical skills and mental requirements of the labor market. The department also adopts applied scientific research in the field of food and nutrition sciences. As well as contribute to community service and environmental development by providing and producing some distinct food products and provide training courses and technical consultations.

Vision

The Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr El-Sheikh University seeks to achieve excellence and accreditation in the field of agricultural education and scientific research at the national, regional and international level. Through commitment to quality and development in education and scientific research, production units, training and constructive cooperation with local communities and corresponding scientific institutions to reach sustainable development of human and natural resource

Objectives

1- Providing distinguished education to prepare graduates and researchers with the ability to keep pace with the development in the field of food science and technology, scientific research and community service.

2- Continuous development of study programs and experiences of workers in the field of food science and technology and scientific research related to agricultural development and community service.

3-Conducting research and scientific studies that contribute to solving the problems of the food industry, nutrition and development sector at the national level, especially in northern Egypt.
