Kafrelsheikh University Hosts the Conference of Strengthening Cooperation between Egypt and Germany in the Field of Biosecurity and Biosafety

Under the Patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and within the framework of the state’s interest to develop the system of higher education, scientific research and link it to foreign educational institutions and its keenness to raise the university level allowing Egypt to be one of beacons of education and scientific research at the regional and educational levels, the first international conference was held in the field of biosecurity and biosafety.

 

 

As well, during the conference events, it was discussed about the concept of biosecurity in addition to diseases that have infected livestock and fish wealth and become the greatest threat to humanity. Biosecurity seeks to reduce or at least mitigate the exposure to infection via following up scientific and practical methods to conserve livestock and its applying will be reflected on the final product, so that desired success can be achieved be conducting such projects in which millions are invested.

On the sidelines of the conference, the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives the head of science and cooperation department at German Embassy in Cairo and Prof Heinrich Neubauer, and manager of Institute of Bacterial Infections at Friedrich University to discuss ways of enhancing future cooperation between the two universities.
